Welcome to the Jefferson Sportsman Society. The purpose of the organization is to promote the fellowship of Wine, Spirits, and Beer industry members in the pursuit of outdoor endeavors including hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, diving, orienteering, the shooting sports and other disciplines of wilderness adventure. In the spirit of these noble pursuits, members will share an appreciation of fine wine, spirits, beer and good table fare. 
 
The organization takes its name from Thomas Jefferson, our third president, author of the Declaration of Independence, and among many other accomplishments fostered exploration, private ownership of firearms, farming, and was an avid wine lover and gourmet. Thomas Jefferson in the original draft of the Declaration of Independence wrote, “ that from equal creation they derive rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the preservation of life liberty & the pursuit of happiness”. 

JSS was created by four like-minded individuals in the Wine, Spirits, & Beer industry that knew there were others in the trade with similar outdoor interests. Their goal is to foster good spirit and camaraderie by connecting those who actively pursue the benefits of outdoor activities.
