One can always expect an interesting evening with members and guests at the annual JSS dinner. This one, again, exceeded expectations and is one for memories. The evening, and fundraising leading up to the event, raised a whopping $11,000!! That is enough to send 5 children to Camp Manitowish. One member’s child has been drawn with 3 remaining. Those 3 will be for Foster Children from SOS villages.
That leaves one more child, name to be drawn. Below in summary are the donations and winners of the key live and silent auction items:
We have to thank all those who attended the evening and especially those that donated items for the evening and all events throughout the year. Through the tradition of an annual dinner, members of the JSS have now raised funds to send over 10 Foster children to camp as well as twice that amount for member drawings. A lot of memories for those kids. We would also like to recognize the officers for their tireless efforts – and one’s auctioneering skills!
